I not emulating or running any scripts on my card.

I can purchase and record future PPVs from the 100s

but when I try it on 594-598 I don't get the prompt that asks me if I want to buy the show.

NOPPV is disabled.
I've done a schedule reset after disabling NOPPV to make sure the PPV flags are back to normal.

Any ideas why this is happening?. I've done a search and have found a few threads about this same issue. Most of the replies were regarding NOPPV and emulation or 3Ms.

Try buying them from the DTV website and see if that works.

I think it may be the way DTV is generating the guide data.

I haven't looked at how NOPPV works, but I would think if you modified it to change the flag on those shows/channels to the opposite of what NOPPV does (kind of like ADDPPV :D ), it may solve your problem.

David,

That doesn't make any sense on why Adult PPVs are flagged differently. How does purchasing the PPV from the www site change the guide information?. Thanks for the advice though.

Fixn278,

Hmmm.. Interesting.. I haven't thought about that... I'll poke around the noppv.tcl file.

Go to 593 and buy a block of time:D

Bubble,

I think I tried that..

I bought a block at 30 mins before the show and and still the recording failed.

I'll give it another shot. Replying to this gave me an idea.

On another note...

I was also looking at the noppv.tcl script (v1.2)

I am not too familiar with the tcl scripting language but if I replace

# Remove the ppv flag
dbobj $show remove ApgScheduleEvent
puts " Fixed: '[clock format $date -format "%D %I:%M %p" -gmt false]' $title"
incr showcount 1

can I replace the 'remove' with an 'add'? and force a PPV flag on?

I've seen this exact scenario as well. I was told it's an issue with 2.5.2 but works correctly in 3.1. No other info seems to be available, but getting it fixed would nice.
