i recently upgraded to 2.5.2

it installed ok, cept the wireless nic was set to dhcp
so i hooked the hdd up to my pc and nic_install to setup my static ip

after that i installed the hdd back into the tivo
now it will not let me run xplusz commands and in system info screen its saying

Backdoors: Enabled!
Boat-anchor mode: TRUE

how can i enable telnet and get rid of boatanchor mode

You phoned into TiVo and they said your status was closed or other non active status. This causes the boat-anchor mode. Run fixup and reboot, boat-anchor will be cleared.

This does assume that you can run commands from a terminal prompt on the box.

That would probably be the easiest way to clear up your problem. You don't need to install the Turbonet drivers manually since they're already installed with the 2.5.2 upgrade. That's what hosed up your DTivo in the first place.
