Power supply -> motherboard ribbon cable woes

Okay so my tivo has decided to get stuck in a reboot loop over the past 2 days unless I open it up, pull the drives and fiddle with the ribbon cable from the power supply... After I open it up and secure the ribbon cable to the power supply, it boot up fine and runs for hours at a time.

What gives? should I solder in some sort of replacement?
