I have installed the 2.5.2 with xplusz and have set nophone (#21,1). I have rebooted and I still do not get lifetime tivo (5). Can not set a recording or season pass of course.
I have installed 2.5.2 on 4 other tivo units no problem and have set many of the xplusz hacks. Don't know what I'm doing wrong in this case.
Any suggestions?

What software version is showing up on your System Information screen? Do any of your other xPlusz functions work?

2.5.2 shows up as my version.
xplusz seems to function - in that, I get the succeded message. But, even when I do the open backdoor function, it does now do any of the normal screan functions that you see (switching screans, placeing the proper letters in the search function screen, ect)
So I would say that it works as far as taking the commands but does not seem to really execute them.
Stange huh!!
Any help would be appreciated. The only thing I can think to do is reinstall it- yickes.....

Probaby should mention that it is a two drive system A=160G and B=original 40G drive.

I have reinstalled 25xtreme, rebooted to finish the install. Then reinstalled upgrade2.5.2. Went through the reboot just fine. DTiVo seems to function, but, the xplusz does not seem to work. It accepts the commands, and says succeeded, but nothing seems to really happen.
I have a feeling that this is something I'm doing wrong and probably very simple. Any suggestions on how I can trouble shoot this further?
Help please:)

try some other xplusz commands. then try the #0#12 info. see if anything is working. some might require a reboot for it to take place and change in #0#12.

Thanks to all who responed. I reinstalled and everything seems to be working. Now I need to figure out how to get locals.... There seems to be a lot of info out there. If someone can point me to the most up to date post that would be very helpful.
thanks,

Sure, its easy. If your access card says you get locals, you get locals. Nothing else to do, they just show up.
