Regarding DVD "Decoder"

I have a Panasonic DVD Burner. Should the burner have come with Decoding Software for Win2K? Or is that a seperate purchase?

No, I don't believe it's another purchase. I had the same problem with watching DVD's on Windows 2K. I never tried this trick, but it should fix it.

Go to http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tools#Codecs and find the MPEG2 (DVD, SVCD) Codec. Download this and put it into your Windows\System32 Folder I believe. As I said before, I never tried this myself even though I noticed it with Windows 2K (I never had W2K on my computer long enough to care). Once you've done that, I believe all you have to do is use a DVD Program like PowerDVD (Best) or Windows Media Player 9.0 to watch your DVD's. Happy viewing.
