Hi!
I just bought a Series 2 Tivo to use outside of the US (in Argentina), believing I was losing a lot of the cool features Tivo offers, but convinced that I could use it as a "glorified VCR". I connected it and got caught in an annoying setup process that I simply cannot get out of and that is preventing me from using it at all. I tried to have it call the US long distance to complete the setup from here but couldn't.
Did I just throw 370 bucks out the window? Or is there any way to use it on its simple functions as a digital manually-programmable VCR as I thought?
