I have one tivo all done with bash_env and everything I want on it all setup. I was wondering if its possible to copy this image with mfstools and put it on my other tivo in the bedroom. I was just trying to avoid going through everthing setting it up once again. The units contain identical 40gb hard drive. I tried the standard mfsbackup and mfs restore given in the tivo guides and left out the -s 127 switch because its a 40gb but the restored image will not boot up all the way on either of tivos. Would someone know the exact switches needed to do this using mfsbackup and mfsrestore?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

genromfs -f /romfs.img -d img/
dd if=/romfs.img of=/dev/hdcXX bs=1024 count=1

and a clear and restore all or use the error 51 fix
Should be all you need to do to get your backups working on another TIVO
