View Full Version : "Cannot Boot Kernal"....help

DSR 6000 using Xtreme 2.5 sometimes the machine just reboots on it's own and will work fine for a while, othe rtimes it will give a "cannot boot kernal" message...any suggestions?

your hd, mb, or ps may be dying. you can try to re-25xtreme to see if that helps, as well as changing out your hard drive and trying a different IDE cable. can't narrow down much better w/o more nfo

I am having the same problem. I think it is because I have taken a 120 gb HDD from an XP box. Something about using a HDD from an XP box where XP marks the drive. I have tried DBAN on the HDD but it didn't change a thing. Anyway to bring the drive back to virgin?
