you should still be able to use blesstivo to bless your new b drive. its on many of the standard boot disks.

You can't just bless a new B drive, the original A & B are married. You will have to create a divorced image, then restore that image to the A and new B drives.
It MIGHT be possible to dd the old B onto the new one, and then use Tivomadd to allocate the remaining free space, but I've never done this, so it's just an educated guess.

It's a tossup to decide exactly what he's asking. He didn't say he'd like to add a B drive, just upgrade it, which leads me to believe BL is on the right track. In either case, dolaf needs to be more specific in his request for help. What is the current configuration of the Tivo you are trying to upgrade, a single or dual drive?
If it's a single drive, all you have to do is use the command
mfsadd -x /dev/hdc /dev/hdb
to add a 2nd drive. This assumes that you have the A drive configured as secondary master and the B drive as primary slave. If you have a dual drive Tivo then you need to make a backup image of both drives and then restore it to the existing A drive with the new B drive. Refer to Hinsdale's How To for the pertinent details.

Sorry to be unclear.
Basically its a Sony SVR2000 unmodified. I simply want to add a B drive without touching the A Drive. I think the blesstivo answer is what I needed.
Thanks,
Dolaf
