Ok, I want to first thank you all for helpign getting my tivo up adn running, it was a bad modem which cause my tivo to hang at updating, that only took 3 days to solve,

now i have a new can of worms. how do I install the driver for the turbo NIC i got from 9thtee?

I install it and I got the GSOD. It was not a pretty suite, I had to rebuild my whole hard drive again.

I read that if you install 2.5.2xtreme the driver has been install, is this correct?

if not do I have to run the /tivoflash ? I thought 2.5.2xtreme did all the flashing for me

thanks

the GSOD will go away on its own

25xtreme will take care of flashing the prom

xupgrade (see the post by superzap towards the top of the page)
will upgrade your machine to either 2.5.2 or 3.1. either way, this upgrade has drivers for turbonet and you can set up telnet tivoweb or whatever you are interested in by reading the instrusctions and using the search function in this forum

Ok are you sure GSOD will go away on it own?

This is what happen

I final got 80 gig ( drive B) and 160 gig (drive A) to work on my tivo. it was a long and hard process to get to this state. I check it and everything looks good. I got 202 hours of recording space, I was damn happen. So now, i got my hard drive out and install turbonet software, I follow the direction given by 9thtee.com. I plug it in, it build the database and once it reboot, I get the GSOD. what gives? I am at a total lost now, I am rebuilding my tivo again without the 80 gig.

SO how long will it last the GSOD?

So I dont have to install the turbonet driver because I upgraded to 2.5.2 xtreme?

I thought that tivoweb comes with 2.5.2 upgraded? if not i will use bash to install that, i think I can handle that much, I hope, it has been 4 long days trying to fix this tivo

Just do this...........
Install the turbo net on the motherboard from the beginning, the software will come later. Take out the HD rack with the 2 drives on it. Install them with the proper jumpers and a cdrom drive with no windows drive in the computer. Use any settings except primary master. When you finish 2.5 it asks to run tivo mad, answer yes. Then asks about blessing tivo drive B, answer yes and tell it where it is........ie hdb, hdc,or hdd. Then it asks greater than 140, answer yes and yes to proceed. Once its done put the HD rack back in and make drive A master and drive B slave. Let it install without the satellite feeds hooked up and when you get to acquiring data info pull the plug. Then just hook up A drive, NOT B and upgrade to 2.5.2. This takes 30 seconds. NOW hook up sat feeds, then pop HD rack back in tivo, plug in, and let it upgrade software. The turbonet will be hooked up for dhcp, and both drives will work. Use your router for dhcp, or just change the ip to static. When you get that far post back and I'll show you how. THere is NO reason to use mfs tools unless your trying to save shows. What can be so important to cause all this trouble I dont know. If thats not why, do it the easy way, until you have more experience. MFS is easy to mess up, use the iso disk images available at tivostuff.com. using MFS may transfer any courruption on the original drive or bad sectors. Follow step by step and you'll have a 2 drive tivo in under an hour.......
