use winpopup or net send to send message to tivo?

I have a Sony SAT-T60.

It has turbonet installed and working properly.

I have a Windows XP Professional computer that is also on the network.

I have applications that can send "net send" or "winpopup" messages to workgroup computers.

Is there any way to allow the TIVO to receive these popup messages?

well, after searching google, there are some linux programs, such as LinPopup, which responde to winpopup messages. If you wanted to use it on the tivo, you would need to re-write it to use the tivo's display somehow, either with somehting like osdwriter, or by using the DTV style messages.

If you are asking has anyone done this already, well, I haven't seen anyone even mention it before, so there probably isnt any ready-made tool for it out there already.
