I have a philips DSR6000 that was at xtreme2.5. It had a bad modem so i removed the /tvbin/modemtest to get around being stuck on 'updating database...' Everything seemed to be working fine including both tuners.

Upon upgrading to xtreme2.5.2 with MFStools 2.0 I find my 2nd tuner doesn't work.--gets stuck on 'checking the satellite dish setup ...(28%)"

Upon checking the kernel and tvlog i get something similar to what was described in other threads as a bad (or both bad) tuners. To make sure i downgraded back to xtreme2.5 to check the tuners (that previously worked fine). Stuck again on 'checking the satellite dish setup ...(28%)"

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions, or what could have caused this?
thanks

Attached are my kernel and tvlog log files

forgot to mention that when performing signal test the unit DOES get a signal from BOTH tuners on BOTH even and odd transponders. If the tuner is fried should it even get a signal?

(sorry for the triple post..ehhe)

Just to update:

I reinstalled xtreme2.5 from cd again. Made sure satellite inputs were unplugged, went into guided setup got stuck on 28% again, sent reboot command from terminal connection, rebooted and both tuners were running again.

Maybe my one tuner is on it's way out. Haven't had time to take any readings with the multimeter but will post them soon.
