Preface: I have searched the forums and read many threads that came up. None of them seemed to show the exact same situation that I'm experiencing. So.... :
Hmmm...I'm having a problem, would you mind helping me? I'd appreciate it.
I have a legit Turbonet card, it refuses to work, and I'm not sure what to do.
Does the card get hurt by a sudden cut in power? For instance, when you pull the plug on the back of the Tivo? I moved my Tivo from one house to another, pluged it all back together, and tried to run guided setup, but it couldn't connect.
I thought the problem might be that it wasn't in the same configuration as it was at the previous residence (it was connected to a wireless bridge), so I set up the wireless bridge again, and it still couldn't connect. Both the bridge and my switch are able to see a link to the Tivo when it is powered on, but there's never any activity. Plus, no matter what I do I can't seem to get the Turbonet to light up. I tried powering off, removing the card, then seating it again, but I still can't get a link light.
Any ideas?
