messed up my image on my 212

ok, ill admit it. I'm a linux newbie! I tried appling a few of the hacks ive found on the internet, and I royally screwed up my 212 (hdr212 i think) image. Is there somewhere i could download a fresh image for my 212? i tried searching on google, but i didnt have any luck. just one broken link and lots of useless pages. I read on another one of these threads that the lifetime sub is stored in the eprom (which i understand is not in the harddrive) so if i get a fresh image that should be fine right? where can i get an image? thanks guys!

try ftp.abs.net/tivo

There should be a 212 image there.

And I know i've already lost it, but my lifetime sub will be back? (since i legitimately had one before)

A unique serial number is located in your tivo (eprom). When the tivo calls out to tivo-hq, it will check your serial number against their database. You will not loose it by reloading a new image.
