Please don't let the number of posts fool you, i have been around a while, but have always found the answers myself by searching. Anyway, this is my problem:
I have previously xtremed 8 or 9 sony t60 tivos successfully but now when I try to execute 25xtreme from bash I get "command not found"
these are the steps I have taken
downloaded the t60 25xtreme iso, burned to disk, changed bios to boot from disk, booted successfully to first prompt. hit enter, continued to second prompt, hit enter, then typed 25xtreme at prompt, and "command not found" was given. I have even downloaded the file again, burned and retried with no luck.

(also, I have disconected my master primary, hooked new hard drive to primary slave (hdb) and left my cdrom on secondary slave. computer recognizes drives correctly)

also if I type ls at the prompt, I do get a list of the directory contents on the cdrom

Any thoughts?

burned to what? by any chance, a CDRW? Most image burning doesn't include verification.

You got the image from where?

Finally got it to work after I disconnected my secondary slave and reconnectd my primary master, then disconnected and reconnected my primary slave. i don't understand why but atleast it is working!
Thanks

I have no idea why the "standard" directions assign drives the way they do. Far easier to put 2 TiVo drives on the secondary controller and just move the CD drive's IDE cable to the primary connector and pull power from any drives sharing that cable.

The result is:

hdb - cdrom
hdc tivo 1
hdd tivo 2

simple.
