Copying Shows Between TiVo Units

Does anyone have any advice?

I have 2 TiVos that are networked and I can FTP to them (WS_FTP) or telnet in with TerraTerm. They are both running the TivoWeb.

Also, they are both running TyServer/Index. I am able to download to my PC and burn to DVD.

Now, I want an easy solution to copy the shows between units. I saw some discussions, but I didn't see any current ones.

Maybe I missed them. Is there a way I can manipulate TyStudio to copy from one Now Showing List to the other? Another product maybe?

One word: mfs_ftp (or is that two words?). Check it out. It allows you to transfer shows to and from your PC in tmf format as well as directly between two Tivos on the same network. It also works between DTivos and SA Tivos, as long as the show does not have a Dolby Digital soundtrack. You'll find it posted in a sticky thread in the Extraction Forum.

Thanks Captain. I did search and I saw the info on mfs, but a lot of it was from 2002.

It is hard to find a search term to get what you want sometimes; I am glad we have the ability to ask random questions and get random answers.
