What other locals can you pickup in Dallas?

Anyone know what other locals you're able to receive in Dallas TX?

San Antonio can be had in dallas area. Never could get Houston as what was claimed. Not sure if any else is available from dallas.

On my older RCA 515 box, which is a 3rd gen DSS receiver, and NOT winked (so it gets locals in the 800-900 range, not in the single digit range) which I had BEFORE the Dtivo, I was getting alot of different locals - none were out of my timezone (which in my opinion is the only reason to get other cities locals :p )

I was seeing stuff like Tulsa, OK - Shreveport, LA - and others, I can't remember now... And I remember reading they (DTV) was going to slowing elimate the spot beam, or at least increase its "scatter" so other cities would come in previously unavailable area's (if that makes sense)

Be careful, toaster, not to discuss DTV hacking. ;)

Having said that, your older RCA is a nonplus receiver and can get multiple locals within your spot beam and nationally. There are several current locals on the CONUS 101 bird right now. These are viewable nationwide.

BTW, DTv is NOT eliminating spot beams. In fact, they're launching 7S, the new spot beam bird, later this year. It will beam dozens more new cities via spotbeam, and most current CONUS locals at 101 and 119 will be relocated to 7S, which, BTW, will be parked at the 119 slot.
