View Full Version : Possible to use 10/100 PC-CARD with Airnet adapter in Dtivo?

A thought occured to me. I have an Airnet adapter in my Dtivo with a 802.11b card. Getting around 400k/sec transfer speeds using MFS Stream to transfer files to my PC.

If I wanted to, could I replace the WiFi card with a 10/100 PCMCIA card and get 100mbit wired access to the Tivo using the Airnet adapter? Wouldn't it then work as a Turbonet???

Seemed like more of an expert question...?

If you can write the correct driver for the card you could. It'll never be as fast as in the PC, since to get close to 100Mbps you need a cardbus NIC, and the Tivo doesn't support cardbus.
