im useing the complete hdvr2/dsr7000 how to guide and my computer will not pick up the tivo drive on secondary master but will see it at secondary slave if i change the jumpers. if the jumpers are set up right for secondary master it freezes on bootup when it trys to see it..

so i cant get past the "mfsbackup -f 4138 -6so /mnt/c/dt2-3.1.0.mfs /dev/hdc"

is there any way i can change the cammand so it will see my tivo drive on secondary slave

thanks bubblelamp that did the trick
i spent close to 3 hrs trying to figure it out. im new to this linux stuff but learning

well i made it to step 20

"mfsrestore -zpi /mnt/c/dt2_3.1.0.mfs /dev/hdd"

i replace the c with d so it would go to go to my secondary slave

but now im getting this problem

backup target not large enough for entire backup by itself

thanks again for the help

How big was the old drive, and how big is the new one? Sometimes different vendors' drives of a given size aren't exactly the same size.

You might also try leaving off the z and or p. Worse comes to worse, try making the backup without the -f switch.
