satellite stops checking at 28%
In the satellite Dish Setup - I just noticed that all my Directv receivers DSR6000 stop checking at 28% and just hang.
I have plenty of signal 85% on 101. When it does the "Checking Satellite information on your setup it hangs always at 28%
I've left the screen up for for several hours with no recovery, except for a power cycle.
I have one receiver now stuck on one satellite. Is there any other way to set up the dual connection mode?

You might try a search as there was a lengthy thread a little while back. I was able to enable dual sat by letting it get stuck at 28% and rebooting on the few units I tried.
Here is some additional info ...

When in doubt, "search" (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/search.php?s=) :)

Note to Member Austin_TX. Sometimes a search does not return a result or the results are lost in thousands of posts. Posting a question helps get results.
There is no need to have replays like yours after the question has been answered by helpful person.

First, I'm the "helpful person" that answered it. Second, I used the search function to find the thread I posted. And finally, my post was to help others realize how much information they can find if they search first, and then ask if the search is not helpful. That is common practice here and on most forums, it is unfortunate that you misinterpreted my comments or that practice.

this may be a stretch.. but have you checked your cables.. I had this hapen to a few people now, and after multiple reboots nothing happened. I went to the basics, I cut the ends off of the cables and made new ones. VOILA it worked. My guess on why is that maybe the ground in the cable or the connection wasn't working, also i noticed if i tighten the cable to tight on the back the same thing hapens (to me). So i screw on the cables then back them off 1/2 to 3 turns. hey it may sound kooky but givie it a shot.
