If you're too lazy to look two threads down at the "Tuner failure" thread or at the two threads on the LNBP, do us all a favor and beg for answers in the NEWBIE forum instead.

We don't need another thread for the same exact topic. Really.

THREAD CLOSED <--------- ridiculous attempt to seem important.

Hey Jaintor dude,

The only begging here will be the sound of you crying like the little <flame deleted> you are, as I <threat deleted> you senseless.

If you call those two threads identical to my post then you gotta get out more. Me lazy? Obviously not -- I took the time to reply to you.

THREAD <flame deleted> CLOSED WHEN I SAY IT IS. <flame deleted>

Actually, for the record, the thread will be closed when I, or another mod, say it is.

wow, all this just to tell the guy that he can use the pulldown box below to get all posts on the forum not just for the last 30 days.

Anyhow you can replace the tuner chips, there are posts on this forum or on avsforum about how to obtain then. If you open up your utv you will see a couple of 8pin(i think) chips that have some funny looking metel tabs under neath then that contact the chip to the large case of a heatsink(right where you connect your 2 lnb input coax wires). look at those chips or even better look at posts older than 30 day and you wil find not only the type of chip but the source as well.\

Sorry for the unwelcoming reception, not everyone here is a ****!

Thanks Wad. I appreciate not only the info, but also your understanding of the situation.

Yes, I should of figured out there must be some kind of archive here, but at least you told me how to find it as opposed to dissing me for my lack of knowledge. For the record, I have lurked here for months (not looking for anything in particular) but also not seeing (or noticed) any posts similar to "tuner failure".

I would hope that those who post in this forum are bonded together by their shared love of the most fabulous toy in the world. C'mon everyone -- GROUP HUG! Ok, that's better.

As for my new buddy -- Molly Maid, you can... umm, ah, who gives a rats ass about you anyway...

Recently the cleaners at my office stole our cordless phone handsets. Dumb, they are no good without the base stations.

Also the janitors at my highschool were lazy and really had no hope of anything more. So they enjoyed the days that they could try and powertrip you and narq that you had a slurpee in the hall. Probably their best day ever!

Also a fat football jock at our highscool that used to bully and terrorise everyone is now a janitor at that very same school. Probably his worst days ever.

Everyone has their thing, maybe our janitor has no power in his day to day life so I guess we need to let him have his here.

That asside have a look at these posts:

There are tons more at avsforum, you will just have to wade through them, hopefully the janitor overthere has mopped up first, wait a minute maybe he's too busy cleaning here.

Good luck with your search.
