Network DirecTiVo to PC

Hi!

Here's an obviously NEWBIE question... I have a Hughes HDVR2 and would like to network it to my PC in hopes of being able to transfer shows I record to disc. The unit has 2 USB ports. Can I use those to connect it to my PC and if so, will I be able to record from the DVR?

I guess the real question is how to get shows from my DVR to a disc?
