Tried sending Superzap a PM but his mailbox is full. He is the legend here. Appreciate anyone else who can give me help.

I can't figure this out at all.

I had noppv working but after turning it off I can't get it back. I executed in xplusz the #3 and #23 commands. I am running 2.5.2

I get the message in the #23 command that noppv is already executed. On the #3 command I get succeeded.

I tried rebooting and also made a test call but everytime I go and try to record a current or future PPV I get the purchase screen and many times I am not even capable of recording a future PPV movie.

What do you think I need to do here? I am sure it's probably a silly thing I have overlooked.

Thanks for any help someone can provide.

Try running it manually. Connect to your DTivo via serial cable and type in the following at the bash prompt:

cd /hack/bin/xPlusz
./noppvsz.tcl

Noppv will be executed manually and update all of the showings in your current guide. Noppv always acted sporadically in my DTivo when run via xPlusz so I usually run it manually about once every 10 days or so to keep the guide current.

Hey Cap,

That sounds like a real hassle. I have to do that every 10 days? Doesn't make sense.

I performed searches on this issue and tried the suggestion of running the script with the #3, 7200 command. Doesn't seem like it worked but then again I may have not given enough time for the guide to update.

I think next I will have to try deleting the st.dat file.

As a last resort maybe then I will try your way but can't disconnect my T60 every 10 days.

Thanks for the help Cap. Your always very helpful here too.

Then buy your PPVs like an honest, upstanding member of society would.

I watch PPVs all the time and I have never needed to use this script, and I definitely don't need to unplug my Tivo every 10 days.

Hey Dave,

I didn't ask you anyway. I do pay for my movies.

I fixed my problem thanks to an older post for fixing this from SuperZap.

BTW, where did the mods move this post? I could not find it anywhere else.
