Oscar is working in fixing the frame-index bugs in DVDlab with Dtivo files, what it means is, when he fix this if you use TyTool and want chapters you no longer need to GOP fix with mpeg2vcr.

I need to put some test files in a ftp server but I don't have access to any, someone can help? You can PM me if you do or post here if public information.

I'm thinking uploading 1 or 2 50MB files because my upload speed is very bad, but someone can put bigger files.

To quote Chris DiBona (I think), "Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station-wagon filled with backup tapes."

Seriously, though. If you haven't found someone with enough FTP space (which is very likely), I would suggest burning a data CD or DVD (or 2 or 3) with your sample TY files. US mail is cheap and relatively fast. You can pick up cheap cardboard CD mailers at any office supply store.

If all that is needed is streams I have literally 1.5 terrabytes of them.

I also have many many short segments that show case problems of one form or another. If he is going to truly fix things then I can make the problem testbed available or just clips.

The problem is that I bet my upstream bandwidth is even worse than yours. So it would mean burning to DVD-R or or something.

The bug I reported is in the frame-index process, DVDlab say the file has less frames that it realy has, so the chapters are set in wrong places.

I don't think he want's to fix every muxer problem with Dtivo files (at least at this point), he wants to release version 1.3 and is working in beta4.

I'll email him and post back.

Thanks for the help.

Ok. I didn't even know about that bug. But for the rest of it. Keep it in mind. It is a slick system if it can just be made to work.
