Following Trilights outline on how-to create a dvd from .ty files using DVD-Lab 1.1, I've hit a brick road.

I pulled the file from the S1 Dtivo (2.5.2) using MFSstream/Tivoweb, Loaded it into TyStudio 0.5.0 and saved as DVD video, No transcoding of audio, .MPG file.

Loaded the .mpg file into mpeg-vcr 3.14, trimmed the beginning and end a bit, saved out as Mpeg-2 standard stream.

Loaded DVD-Lab 1.1 (just downloaded it from their web site along with BeSweet v1.4), setup DVD-Lab 1.1 to use BeSweet per the instructions on Trilight DVDR guide (http://dvdguides.trilight.net/), drag & drop'ed my filename.mpg, it asked to demux it, I agreed. I then proceeded to transcode the audio to ac3 as per the instructions (http://dvdguides.trilight.net/), I dragged the .mpv file to the MOVIE tray, the .ac3 to the AUDIO tray, set a menu button to link the start of movie 1, then went to compile dvd.

*At no time did I ever see the "flexible source" tag as indicated at the bottom of Trilight's instructions

It begins to re-multiplex and then dies several minutes in- explaining its dealing with non-standard files (non-standard dvd files that is). And can not continue.

I've tried going under project properties and setting the video for 480x480 non-standard, and Full D1 720x480, either way DVD-Lab 1.1 stops at the same point.

I've done the "test" multiplex, when it says it replaces the movie file just to make sure everything is ok- this completes in 3 seconds- and I'm able to see the menu in PowerDVD, but when I uncheck that box- same error.

I've done it a couple of times to make sure I'm not missing something- but obviously - - - - - I AM! :(

Help me Trilight, You're my only hope! :D

Hey there! Glad to see you're trying it out. I think you'll be pleased with the results. As for the "flexible source" option, it is required since the MPEG video is so far out of spec. This option was only added to DVD-Lab in version 1.2 and you are using 1.1. I personally am using 1.3b2. The current version is 1.3b3 and according to the history FAQ on their site...

Flexible muxing renamed to Alternative and a warning is displayed when in use

You really need to update your DVD-Lab software. I just realized I did not list version info on my site. I am correcting that oversight now.

Is not clear where you can download the updated betas, they can be downloaded from the dvdlab's history page at mediachance.
