getting 3.5 back

new at this...will this work?

if i connect my UTV with the pc with a usb cable...install UTV box as an external storage device...create a partition in my hard drive inside the computer...and copy all the data from UTV over to my computer...then clean the UTV hard drive and install 3.5 through my computer...will that work or no?

Simple answer: NO

Better answer: PC can only see the UTV drive via the IDE cable, that is after you allow the UTV to unlock said drive, then switch IDE connection to the PC during bootup.

Any UTV software must be applied to drive via WinHEX or another hex editor, since Windows and standard PC drive tools ghost, pmagic etc. don't understand the proprietary format of the UTV drive.
