I had TyStudio running just fine and was able to extract some video when iit just STOPPED working. Now, I get the:

"Failed to Connect to the the Now Showing list from TiVo" message.

I tried installing TyTool as an alternative, but the same result.

(1) How can I fix this?

(2) Have I screwed things up by installing both? TyStudio was set to load on reboot on the Tivo.

Help!?

You may need to restart tyserver manually. It has a bad habit of quitting on its own. You will probably have to restart tyindex as well. Type in "ps aux" at the bash prompt (without the quotes) and see if either process is shown in the list of currently running applications. If one or both are not listed then you'll have to restart them from bash. Navigate to the directory containing the tyserver and tyindex files and start them by typing in ./tyserver and Enter followed by ./tyindex and Enter. If you do another ps aux you should now see both applications running on the Tivo. You should now be able to connect and get the NowShowing list.
