I have a Philips DTIVO and with 120 GB HD configured with Xtreem 2.5. When I set it up I did not disable the encryption.
I would now like to do video extraction to DVD's. The last time I checked in this forum, there was not a method to extract and burn encrypted files. Has a method now been developed? Is there any way that I can capture the encrypted files to DVD?
Thanks for any suggestions.

the only way to extract encrypted stuff is with a pc video encoder card. there has not (and probably won't anytime soon) been a method for decrypting streams publically distributed.

Thanks for your response. How would I do that? Would the steps be as follows:
1: Take the video output from the TIVO and connect it directly to the inputs of a TV encoder card in the computer,
2: Convert to digital file on computer
3: Burn to the re-encoded video to DVD.
Would I expect to loose any quality in the re-encoding process?
What video encoder card would you recommend?

you'll lose a lot of quality. what i did when i was in this situation: use a old unsubbed standalone tivo to record the shows via the analog video outputs, then extract using turbonet from the standalone. this works pretty good.
you'll need a pretty hefty pc and capture card to match what a standalone tivo can do.
