I am using Tytool (7r10) for the bulk of my processing.

My question is I like to use DVDLAB to make my menus. I have taken files all the way through TyTools by making key files, editing key files, VOB Mux files.

It is at this stage I am not sure of my best option. I have sent the file at this stage to DVDLAB. I then let it demux the file as it suggests. This takes a long time, but seems to work just fine.
I have let it make chapters through auto chapter and this works fine. I use the relaxed multiplex option and this works fine too.
The audio sync seems perfect. This relaxed multiplex option takes a looong time also.

I have read some posts from Bato and others about another option at this point.

It is to Create IFO files/ directories with TyTools and then bring it into DVDLAB. If you do this do you still need to demultiplex?
Should I make the chapters in TyTools or DVDLAB if I go this route?

I can see by doing this last step in TyTools could save a lot of time if the file doesn't need to be demultiplexed and multiplexed in DVDLAB.

I don't want to sacrifice this timesaver for quality in sync though.

What are others experiences with this?

Like I said earlier. I am very happy with the sync this way. It does take a long time to run through DVDLAB. I can live with this process, but if I can get the same thing with adding the last step in TyTools and not demultiplexing, then that would seem the best way to go.

Also, I noticed if you use mixed mpeg and Dolby audio clips and let DVDLAB demultiplex them, you will lose audio on the non dolby files. I am wondering if I had used the last step in TyTools before I brought it into DVDLAB if it would let me mix files.
It also makes all the seperate movies or shows become on big multi VOB file if you demultiplex in DVDLAB. I wonder if it would let the shows stay seperate if I had used the last step in TyTools first. I am going to play around with this and may answer some of my own questions. Please feel free to share some of your experiences also and I will post any conclusions I come up with also

EDIT:

I must have misunderstood Bato's post. I tried putting the TyTool VOB files through the last stage of TyTools and it forces you to make a menu. It then creates VTS files (seperate for the different files I might add). I thought there might be a way to just use DVDLAB for menus only and not have to demux and relaxed mux as these are very time consuming

Thanks

Nope, that is correct, you edit your shows, and create a DVD with TyTool (with menu, etc.) then you use the VOBs in DVDlab.

I do the chaptering in DVDlab, I have to GOP fix the VOBs with mpeg2vcr if I have cuts in the show (not if only start/end for movies).

TyTool create multiple VTS title, each show separately, so you will have to import each VTS to create the DVD with DVDlab.

Check this (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25261) thread and post #4 for the perfect sync/chapters with DVDlab.

I think Oscar is about to fix the frame-index problem in DVDlab and that means no more GOP fix with mpeg2vcr.
