I’ve been extracting video from my S2 dtivo for a couple of weeks without a glitch. This weekend I ran into an error in DVDlab v1.3 beta 4. I’ve successfully made about 20 DVD’s using the following method:
Extract video using tytools v7.
Make cuts using MPEG-VCR v3.14
Save file.
Bring the file into DVDlab and demux.
Build menus.
Compile dvd using relaxed alternate option.
The problem happens when I compile the DVD and I get the following error:
INTERNAL ERROR: additional data required but no free space in input buffer
This happens on every file I attempt to compile,
I searched the boards but couldn’t find anything about this error, Any ideas?????
I've seen that ever since I've been using DVDLab:
it doesn't seem to be a fatal error, as it just stops the process until you acknowledge it. It then should continue on it's merry way.

Thanks for the info. I have gone and tried to complie by just acknowledging the error but once it’s complied the playback shifts speeds at various places and makes the video un-watchable. This never happened when I didn’t get the error.
Maybe is the error in stream jdiner posted info in another thread.
I emailed Oscar about the "less frames than actual" frame-index bug and a couple of users here (thanks guys!) were kind enough to host and provide clips for Oscar to test, well Oscar found the bug and already fix it, he will release beta5 soon, but he said that one of the files crashed the muxer and he will look into that.
So maybe when beta5 is released we will have the muxer fix also.

Just to make sure that I’m not nuts I tried another movie. I used tytools to do the cutting and then multiplexed the file and brought it into DVD lab. Demuxed fine, and then built the menus and compiled (got the same internal error as previously posted, I acknowledged and when ahead with the complie).. Upon completion I viewed the video and it came out without audio and seems to run about 2X speed on video. I’m stumped??? Any suggestions???
Bato you referenced a post by jdiner, what should I search on???
bsullasc: make sure that you check the audio in VOBs also, sometimes DVDlab will not put the audio in the IFO files, easy fix with menu option Tools - IFO editor-audio in DVDlab.
jdiner posted this info in the tytool8 sticky IIRC. Something about no audio for some frames.

The double speed is what's puzzling me. I'm trying again using MPEG VCR for the cuts.
I'll let you know what happens.
BTW: I justed started to compile after saving with MPRG VCR and I didn;t get the internal error. I'll let everyone know what happens with the burn.

Well I went ahead and redid the same video using mpeg vcr and the double speed came back to normal. However, I now have a sync problem with the audio. ???????
The sync problem happens about 10 minutes into the movie, the beginning is fine. I’ll use the same video and run it through the GOP fixer in mpeg vcr and see if that fixes the sync problem.
Am I doing something wrong when using Tytools that ‘s causing the double speed on playback???
I saw the 2x speed back when DVDlab tried to compile a Directivo file and there was no alternate muxer, I guess the muxer is the one creating the 2x speed problem. When you run mpeg2vcr to edit you get sync problems because there is an error in the stream.
You can try tystudio to create elementals or mux output, sometimes it fixes things, maybe this one is one of them. If you don't want to try many things and just get perfect sync without problems there is a guide (soon to be changed) that you can use to create perfect sync DVDs everytime with TyTool and DVDlab, look at post 4 in this (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25261) thread.
As soon as beta5 is released I'll change the guides and even put some pictures to guide users better.
