Just a software player note: I noticed that PowerDVD, with Hardware acceleration ON, seems to add a line at the bottom of the playback window every 5 seconds or so, making the whole frame jitter. It is subtle, but steady, studio shots really show it.
Could be my crazy ATI video card buffer bonking/showing its stripes.
With hardware acceleration off, this doesn't happen. 2.4GHz P4. Never seen this problem before, but I've been watching the same 3 minutes of video for about 6 hours now...
Mediamatics shows no such problem.
