searching for satellite

i have a dsr6000 120gb 2.5.2 w\xplusz (reset xplusz?).both lines work fine i have switched them to #1 and they both get the same signal strength. i cant get the second tuner to work.it is off and on mostly off.i have tried all the fixes posted for 28% problem which mine only goes to 16,22%.also i change the transponder to get a signal on #2 and i will check back and it changes itself back.#2 only works on the odd # transponders.please help i have tried everything and cant get it to work.

So only odd xpndrs?

Have you verified you get 13 & 18V at the tuner output?
If you dont, you want to change the lnbp chi ( u37 or u38)

it started to work all of a sudden.as i was watching tv it came on again on the screen(searching fo sattelite).i changed the channel up and down about 10 times and it stopped.why would this happen?
