I'm stuck.I tried twice and still can't get past the welcome powering up screen .It keeps rebooting to the same message.I went through the How to guide and made sure i had everything write but still no boot.
It will boot fine up until i do section three: bash env.
Any ideas?

Paste the kernel messages you logged on the serial port.

If you don't know how to do this, whatever guide you're following sucks. It is an essential troubleshooting step.

I don't get anything on the serial port?
I thought the system had to start to boot before the bash would work?I can't get past Welcome:powering up.

Wrong.

If the PROM can't read the kernel, you will get an error message. Set your term to 115200bps.

If you are using the proper kernel command line options, console and dsscon, you will see the kernel and initrd produce messages as they start.

Either way you will see something.

The transition to "Almost there" happens a little ways into rc.sysinit so there are a lot of different things that could be going wrong before that point.
