Extracted a single file from SA SVR-2000 using Audio option #7
made the key files and the processesd the .cut file, after that I muxed the file into a single .mpeg file, I proceed it to VOB-Mux the file but it crashes Tytool, and tellsme that a log file its been created.
First of all where does this file resides?
Why am I crashing?
I did created many DVD's following tytool docs using previous versions.
This is what a .txt file reads:
Detected Tivo Type: VOB/MPEG File
Detected Audio Stream Type: Dolby Digital 5.1
Final standardAudioSize = 1536
Final standardFrameLength = 1536
Final standardAudioDiff = 2880 or 00:00:00.032
..
It also creates a 0 byte .chp file and a 0 byte .vob file
Please help.
Thank you

If you've muxed the file as an mpeg then why are you trying to use the VOB-mux option? You need to use one or the other and not both. If you're trying to create a DVD title set using TyTool then use the VOB-mux option instead of muxing the file to an mpeg. After you've performed the VOB-mux function then you need to use the Create IFO Files/Dirs option to create your menus and add chapter stops. I don't transcode the audio from my DTivo so I don't really know what the various audio options do but I don't think you should be using option 7 for a SA Tivo file.

Thank you for your straighten me out, all of the sudden I forgot that I was dealing with Tivo files, and I was working with standard mpegs.
Could you riddle me this:
I have a Ty file extracted from a SA unit with audio option7.
This file contains multiple video songs and commercials.
My goal is to:
A. Get rid of the commercials.
B. Break up the file into a smaller files, where each one contains a video song.
C. Make a DVD with a menu where every song, will be a menu item, that will launch that particular song.
Yes I read the Docs, and I've done a few DVDs from Tivo before, but I am dealing with other variables here and I can not get it straight.
Thank you.

I can't help you with the audio options but that shouldn't be too hard to find if you run a search. To do what you want you'll just have to place cut points at the beginning and end of each song you want to split out. To select the segment you want to cut out, find the beginning point where you want the cut to start and then click on the "[" button. Find the end of the segment to be cut and click on the "]" button. Now click on the "Add Cut" button to add the cut segment to the cut list. Do this with the beginning cut at the very beginning of the file and then place the end cut just prior to the first song you want to split out. Now repeat the process by placing the beginning of the next cut at the end of the song and the end of the cut at the end of the clip. Add the cut to the cut list. Now save the cut list by pulling down the File menu and select the Save Cut List option. Close the GOP Editor window.
If you plan on using TyTool to make your DVD then select the VOB-mux option. Select the ty file you want to process and let it run. You'll have to process the entire ty file for each segment you want to cut so be patient as it will take some time if there are a lot of segments in the clip. Repeat the process for each song you want to split out. You may want to rename the files after processing each segment or you'll end up with multiple files of the same name identified only by a number at the end of the file that will be incremented by 1 each time you process the ty file. Make sure you name all of the files in the set with the same name.
Once you've got all of the songs processed then select the Create IFO Files/Dirs option in TyTool. Select all of the songs you wish to add to the DVD compilation. Keep in mind that you are limited to 12 menu items in TyTool so anything over and above that may not show up. I haven't tried using TyTool for multiple menu items yet so you'll have to read the TyTool docs to figure out the rest of it but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Just select each song as a separate menu item and you should be fine.

I thought Josh said the 12 item limit is only with the default template, and if you modify the template you can a lot more.

That is current. The limit when a proper template is made is now 100.
