I have a Sony T60 DirecTiVo receiver. I've had it for at least a couple of years. I've modified it with a 120GB drive. I added a TivoNet card. I've added FTP, Telnet, various shell utilities like an editor, TivoWeb and I use TyTools. Only Telnet is started automatically. The rest is started as needed. It's been working great for quite some time. I have not made any mass changes like Xtreme. I havn't made modifications to anything service related and pay for the menu and for the service.

Last night at 2:00AM (my son is a night owl) the unit reset itself. Now the unit can't be Pinged nor can I Telnet in. I suspect they upgraded the machine and somehow deleted code on my machine (/var/hack).

Has anyone else seen this problem, particularly after last night (well actually Monday, October 27th at 2:00AM Eastern)? The machine now shows Sony Sat-T60 3.1.0b.02-1-011.

I'd really like to hear from someone else before I remove the HD to look at it to find out if this problem is unique to me or if it's something widespread.

TIA, GGK

There was an upgrade. You will have to perform some of your hacks over. Information on the upgrade as well as methods of getting past it is present in these forums.
