I have a dsr6000 w/2.5.2 installed, I just got it a few days ago but have not been able to get locals, everytime I enter the code in call waithing prefix I get, "invalid 14 reas=998#60, 14".
I have checked around the board , but found nothing but advice for people with 2.5 to upgrade to get locals.....what should I do?

You could futz around with any number of fixes or commands but the easiest method of getting your locals back is to reinstall 2.5Xtreme and then upgrade to 2.5.2. Check out my tutorial (http://dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=112382&highlight=Heres+a+detailed+tutorial#post112382) for the most painless way to install 2.5Xtreme and upgrade to 2.5.2 to restore your locals.

I tried to install 25xtreme, but it get to 99% and gives an error, so I tired on a name brand disc, still same issue, and finally I burned on a name brand disc but at a slower speed same error...what would cause this or what can I do to fix it.....also I did use the image from tivostuff (dsr600025extreme)

If you read the installation instructions for 2.5Xtreme it says that this is a common error but it's OK. You should be able to use the installation as is but you'll have to manually expand the partitions using the mfsadd function in MFS Tools 2.0 per Hinsdale's How To.

Isn't the mfsadd function used if I am installing a drive larger than the stock drive? Because I am using the stock drive that's why I thought I didn't need to use it.
