OK, yes I a noob... I used http://hostfreedom.com/tivo. and made an image of my old drive and am tryin to put a 120gig in a DSR-7000. My problem is I restored the image to the new HD and then did the kernel patch. It boots twice at the start and then starts, but I tried the BASH hack and after it just sits there rebooting. I have read that it's a error with a file (hmm of course), but can't figure out wtf is wrong. I also have tried to install other downloaded images like hdvr2-31U5, and they will load fine, but Tivo won't work keeps saying there's an error on the drive. Any help on what the hell I might be doing wrong would be great. Also the kernel on my system is 3.1.0.05-2-101 is this the correct kernel after the 3.1.U5 update or did it not take.

the error on your drive message, as mentioned in the faq, is error #51. you can do a clear and delete everyhting or use the 51killer.tcl script to fix that issue.

OK... I have tried the 51killer file but everytime I try to execute it says no file or dir. I have the tivo HD on my pc and enter the ./51killer.tcl command from the /# promt and thats what I get. I have also tried the clear and delete, does its thing for an hour then reboots and gives the same error.

51killer.tcl should be run from bash with the drives connected to your Tivo.

Based on your above comments, I think YOUR best bet is to do a Clear and Delete Everything from the Tivo menu, and wait for that process to complete.
