Many thanks goes out to jdiner as his efforts never cease to amaze me...
Here is my little way I can contribute back...
Attached are DVD covers for the entire Sopranos run...
They are nothing special, but they suit me - if you like, please take and use them - if not, no biggie...
I also have other covers (although not as nice as these - heh, I get better at this the more I do):
- Seinfeld
- Curb Your Enthusiasm
- Oz
- That '70's Show
- Band Of Brothers
If anyone is interested, let me know and I will post them...
Also - One big caveate, these are mode for special DVD covers. I thought, since I would be making a LOT of these, I didn't wan alot of room being taken up.
So, any series that I can get into 2 disks, I used these (http://www.genesysdtp.com/doubledvdthindetails.htm) .
Any series sets that have to be spread out to 3 disks, I used these (http://www.cdcover4sale.com/sc3in1ovdvdj.html) .
Anyways - enjoy if ya want them!

If they're not terribly large, you may want to contact jdiner for inclusion on the tytool.com web site
Or, maybe I can look into hosting them for you on tivostuff, again, only if they aren't too large.

jmhenry5150, I would love to see your Seinfeld cover.
Can you email it to me? If not then I can set up an
ftp site.
I thought I had all the Seinfeld episodes, and noticed the other day that I am missing The Dinner Party. Then I started processing
season 4 (or 5 I can not remember) and found a Braves game where The Bubble Boy should be. No telling how many more of my .tys are baseball.
JJBliss, I am not slamming you here, but I am curious how you could find enough on TV worth recording to keep 5 TiVos going.
I have two DirecTiVos now and they are rarely both busy.
You must have kids.

No slam. In fact, most of those Tivos are empty.
As most of the moderators here, I'm really not into for the TV. I watch very little television. Too busy with other things.
As a matter of fact, I actually need to update that to reflect the addition of a new Series 2 (and possibly two more to follow)

I would rather try and keep them all in 1 spot if i can...that way updates are easy...
I would like to piggy back off of tytools.com...
jdiner, you out there?

I believe the website is tytool.com. If you go to tytools.com you'll get a Chinese tool manufacturer's website.
I'm in the same boat as JJ except I probably watch a lot more TV. I have five DTivos subbed but only three of them are actively recording anything. The latest S2 models are in various stages of being hacked before they are put into service or sold off on ebay. I do have three S1 DTivos that are sometimes recording shows simultaneously and some on both tuners at the same time.
Every unit I own has been upgraded with larger drives to accommodate the vast quantity of recordings I make, primarily because I just don't have the time to watch all of them. I usually record more shows than I can possibly watch in a week so I'm still trying to catch up on some of my favorite shows weeks or even months after they've aired. Heck, that's one of the main reasons for having a Tivo anyway, isn't it? Anything I want to keep gets extracted and archived to DVD. Any movies get burned to DVD-RW for viewing later.

That damn TBS. It's done it to us all.

I am usually out of town M-F. This week is only the 4th week home I have had this year.
Unfortunately for all of my other projects, unlike you, I do find the time to watch the TiVo or at least extract the shows so that I can watch them on the plane as I travel.
This of course means that I have about 10 other projects ranging from woodworking to home automation that are lingering in various states of incompleteness.
Maybe I'll just cut out sleep.
Gotta go, its bed time.

I can identify with that ;)
Another reason to have multiples is setting your season passes/manuals to start a minute or two early and end a minute or two later. This ensures you get the entire program but you obviously can't record as much that way. Another challenge is real popular times like Sunday 8PM.

Here's a taste (I resized it down to show you guys)
Enjoy!

Now that just makes me mad.
How in the hell is a user that only spends 5-10 hours per week
working with tytool / DVDLab supposed to feel good about his efforts when you guys are out there creating stuff like this.
I put alot of work into my Seinfeld menus in DVDLab, but this
makes them look like child's play.

Well, you could get picky and point out he didn't follow classical rules of design to make scanning the episode list easy ;)

It was partly a joke.
Left -> Right, Top -> Bottom is easiest for English-speakers to read because that's our normal letter layout. Seen as a whole, you've got multiple columns but the order is a zigzag.
It's not a critical thing. Everybody has their own style.

ahhh...
Didn't occur to me...
Oh well :)

Yeah, it caught my eye because of feedback I've had from people looking at my DVD covers. No big deal. Still looks really cool.
