Please you are not that good obviously. There is a way to copy game without FTP them off first. You can copy xbox games directly from your PC. Why don't you re-read section 1.1 Produce a perfect working XBOX ISO backup of a Burned ISO Backup 1:1 (a copy from a copy) of http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/iso-backup-guide.php

I have done this several times over.

Wow, making a backup of a backup, thats a great idea. It will not work for originals tho. Hell, it wont work for backups either most of the time either. You need to ftp the files from the xbox to pc as ORIGINAL xbox disks will not read in a PC. Run Avalaunch on the xbox and qwix on the PC and it will ftp the entire game and make an iso in one step. Its fool proof and super fast. I havent made backups 'the hard way' in months, that document is all but obsolete.

Head to #xbins of Efnet for Avalaunch, and Qwix can be had from www.teamavalaunch.com

Great job genious now all he has to do is go illegally download a working xbox iso (xiso) of course you must be getting them the "LEGAL" way. RIght? I belive he wanted to know how to backup not bootleg. Dont post crap thats obviously sketchy. :( :( :p :p

There is more then one way to get games to play on an Xbox.

The fastest is of course to copy it to the Harddrive. You can put in a DVD and copy it directly, copy the dvd to files on you pc and ftp them, copy an iso image to your pc and ftp that as well.

Or you can simply write it to a DVD-R and play them. In fact if you learn a bit about how xbox games are made you can replace some of the movies and make them MUCH smaller (called ripping them). Then you can use programs to put more then one game on a DVD.

Now why would you want to do this?
1) The HD is faster then the DVD, by multiples.
2) You can preseve the origional DVD disks.
3) You don't have to carry a whole library with your Xbox.

You can do all this, with your own games, legally.

Unfortunatly in oder to do any of this you must have bios on the xbox. And if you have bios that can play games (as adversed to simply run Linux). It is illegal. Yes your evox bios loads uses MS propritary bios (its just modified). But without it, you can not run things like Xbox Media Center.

I do not think this is very nice. Of course u say u want to make "backups" cept they are really illegal copies. please don't do this. You are the stereo type of the anti-modchip

I am not anti-modchip, far from it. But if you do use them you should know what you are doing, while morally ok, it is illegal.

Under the DCMA the changes that are necessary to both the BIOS and the software (games) to play them on a modofied Xbox is illegal.

Specifcly the BIOS you have is Microsft inteltual property. Modifying it is against there user code (why cromwell bios was made). Unfortunatly you can not play games with cromwell bios.

Secondly you have to change the media ID on the games to get them to play on the HD. This is a circumvention of a digital protection (as defined in the DCMA). So the act of copying it (as well as the software that did it) are illegal. Luckly the copy you have (up to 3 of them) is not. So technically you would have to get cought in the act of doing it.

All that being said, you are relativly safe. I say this becase when was the last time the FBI came and knocked on your door asking to see all your digital media. Truthfully, as long as you do not sell the copies, nobody really cares enough to come get you. However if you trade copies (bittorrent, kazaa, emule, etc) they do care. So do not get copies of games from P2P. Besides renting them from Blockbuster and making a copy would be much easier :) (no you shoudn't do that either)
