Hacked DirecTV system with TiVo

Hello, I'm looking to buy a standalone TiVo (probablly a Phillips HDR212 DVR) for use with my DirecTV system that is hacked. Can I just hook up the TiVo to my DirecTV system and have full functionality as long as my DirecTV system is up and running or do I have to subscribe to TiVo and/or DirecTV in order for this to work?

discussion of dtv hacking is not appropriate for this board, please take that sort of discussion elsewhere. with stand alone units, the tivo doesnt care where you are getting signal from, because it just blindly sends the channel changes and assumes it works. the sa tivo gets its guide from tivo, so you have to pay them or generate your own.

oh, and im sure you are already aware that in canada and the united states, dtv hacking is illegal.
