Everytime I want to start tivoweb, I get the bash prompt and then type in "insmod /lib/modules....... thru .....metric 1" as written in cobelli's guide for ethernet. Is there a shortcut, without doing the above? The guide says "tivo should load ethernet, telnet, and ftp everytime it starts. In other words, do I need to type in all of the above to get the ethernet adapters lights to come on?

You need to put the lines you're typing into a file called rc.sysinit.author you'll have to make and put in /etc/rc.d

You may also have a file called hackinit if you used cobelli, you can put it there if you want.

Don't forget to chmod the file after editing. If you don't know what I'm talking about read some more.
