Cannot Make Daily Call/Noppv Problems

I have a DTivo DSR6000 v1 and am running Xtreme 2.5.1 with the Xplusz addy.

Up until Oct. 28, 2003 everything was working perfectly, however, after that I started getting messages from the unit that it needed to make the Daily Call. I have confirmed via the log that the Daily Call is failing. (of course this unit is not connected to the phone line).

As well, I believe as a result of this, I cannot set prerecording of any PPVs therefore I assume my noppv is failing as well. I tried running noppv using #3 and it fails. Can someone give me some direction as to what to test or try next?

I see there is a new version of xPlusz I will do an upgrade from 2.13 to 3.10 and see if this helps.

After installing xPlusz 3.10 over v2.13 (because 2.13 cannot be upgraded directly to 3.10), it still didn't work. After checking the Xplusz.log I discovered that some of the folders in /hack/bin/xPlusz had not been created (i.e T30025sz, bootsz, EB125sz, etc.).

I'm not a linux guru, not sure why this happened. So I kept watching the log file and creating the directories and it worked. Also had to use "chmod +x setup" to change rights to run the setup file, not sure why.

One thing I'd like to know is why, after over a year, did my system stop doing the Daily Call and why did noppv fail? I was using Xtreme 2.5.1, xPlusz 2.13.
