WD HD 160GB WD1600JB for a HDVR2

I intend to take the easy route and mod my HDVR2 with sleepers tivoscripts1_1, even though I'm trying to learn and intend to read every line along the way becouse I'm sure I'll be installng more hacks along the way.

After much reading and a few searches I'm under the impression that I need to mod this HD to non-LBA48 before I attempt to do a restore. I've read mention of running Maxtor MaxBlast to accomplish this on a 160GB HD but I'm using a WD HD. Will Maxtor MaxBlast work on this drive (I'm assuming not or I would not be writing this) or could someone give me a link on how to accomplish this task on my WD HD?

i couldn't get maxblast II to work, but downloaded version III off their website and it worked. i did hook up an old maxtor drive along with the wd though, because i wasn't sure if it would work without at least seeing a maxtor on the system.

That did it without having a Maxtor in the box.
I did get an error that I could not do all things with the prog but I could set the size with the utils.
