need real quick help on a secondary drive

I just added a second drive to my tivo (40gb western digital).
I blessed it and the blessing said it was fine and read it at 37gb. So everything should be fine - I installed it in my tivo hdr112.

Now when I go to the setup in tivo it only reads that I only have 17hrs of recording time at best quality and 61 at standard quality.

Is this correct it seems low to me .

Can anyone help im desperate.

One side note - I have the original 15g quantum hooked up to the split ide cable and the 40gb secondary hooked up to the first ide connector. I didnt change the quantum jumpers and changed the wd 40g jumpers so it is slave.

You don't say what TiVo reported before the upgrade. Looks like you should have (almost) 4 times what you had to start with. If that is the case then it is probably as it should be.

You get about 1GB/hour on basic quality, so those numbers look good to me for a 60+15 drives.
