Changing "subscribe" option

It seems I currently become subscribed to every thread I post to. I'd like to turn this off, but I can't figure out how. I've searched under the frist three tabs in the user cp, but there's nothing about subscribing to a thread by default.

I know it's got to be somewhere, but I can't find it.

In user cp, go to edit opitions. Then you should see this as the 3rd choise under Messaging & Notification:

Use 'Email Notification' by default?
Using this option emails you whenever someone replies to a thread that you have participated in.

Set that to No.
