I like the new software. I also like the new forum names. On thing that is going to take some getting used to is having the number of posts and the joined date on the right. I never noticed before that I would glance at that number unitl it was moved. Now I have to look elsewhere. Great new look and feel.

I'm glad you like it, it took a while to upgrade and there is more to come. Once we get a new server more cool stuff will be available.

I'm reserving judgement until I get used to the new version. I did like the other one fine although it was a little 'dark' :)

I just logged on for the first time since the forum facelift. It is going to take some getting used to but my first impression is that I like it. I think it was a smart move splitting out the series 1 and series 2 discussions for both DTivos and SA models. The new larger test sort of jumps off the page at me but it's definitely easy to read. I'm hoping that the new server upgrade means that we'll have more space in our PM mailboxes to retain more messages. It's a bit of a pain to have to keep emptying the mailbox after only 4 or 5 messages, especially if there's a message I'd like to save.

ugh, the new layout's horrible! (imho) hopefully it'll get used to it eventually
on the other hand, text of posts is included in e-mail notification now - very nice. if there was just a setting to get a msg for every post to a subscribed thread I'd be set

is there any way to get another theme for ddb? specifically, the header information is much bigger than i would like, and the font for the message is about one size too big. the color scheme is something i can probably get used to, but the fonts are kinda annoying. i like the new features though

You do get a message for every new post in a thread. Once you subscribe to it. You'll see.
As for the layout.. Umm I guess you cannot satisfy everyone, vB3 supports multiple layouts and they will be available for everyone a little bit later. Old type looking layout will also be available.
The header is not much larger, the actually DDB header was reduced a lot but a the new vb3 header is a little bigger. With the new upcoming layouts you will be able to select one that you like best. Please guys give me time!!! :) The font is a bit bigger this is a problem with vB3 and it is in the bug tracker forum there now, I'll see if I can get this fixed ASAP.
Thank you,

I saw that too. Was wondering if it was going to be implemented.

I don't think it's my imagination - the site seems much quicker now.
