Is it normal to see these type of entries for /var/log/kernel in such a high frequency? What is locking and unlocking of the tuner? Does that have to do with actual signal reception?

Note I am having problems with my tuner at the moment - i think it was zapped.

Locked means that the IRD has locked-on to a good signal.

Not locked means the tuner is disabled and/or there's no signal coming in, perhaps due to LNB/cable/tuner issues.

I recently setup my 2nd hdvr2 and only used a single signal during initial testing. Oslink was showing Tuner[0]: Locked Tuner[1]: Not Locked, which changed to Tuner[0]: Locked Tuner[1]: Locked when I added the 2nd cable and activated the tuner.

Thanks.
Fixed the cause of the problem, so I assume it should stop. But this caused my /var partition overflow, forcing rc.initd to clear /var. Some of my ethernet drivers were in /var/hack. :-) Moved them to root. Now I'm immune!!!
