Is there any legitimate reason I should change from using the bash_env hack, which I am having no problems with, and go with the monte? I'd like to know if this is going to be a problem in the future using bash_env. The main reason I used bash_env in the first place, was because it was all put together there in cobelli's guide and looked easy to do.

Also, you do not "own the box" with bash_env method. You can only store/modify things on /var.
