Hello,

I just hacked my mother-in-laws tivo using TivoScripts 1.01 and a 160gig drive.

When it was all done the script reported 147hours....

Is this going to bite me?

Did it just use all 160 gig?

I did the full monte, but I did not use a LBA40 kernal.

Will this cause problems, or am I being paranoid...

thanks,
gNOME...

Im thinking YES.

LBA issue is for drives > 137 GB.

You have 147 hrs.
My 120 GB hd gets me about 100 hours.
There is some overhead and HD manufatures are notorious for mixing up bits and bytes.

On my dtivo my 160gb drive set to 137gb gives me and estimate from the tivo of 120 hours.

CRAP!

Any way to fix this quickly?

I just downloaded TivoScripts 1.02

Does anybody know if this will set the limit @ 137gig?

the last thing I need is my mother-in-law on my case because her Tivo is flaky.

TiVoScripts 1.02 won't help. The only change was to remove MFS_FTP at the author's request. AFIK, the only ways to solve your problem are to use a utility (from the drive manufacturer) which will limit the drive to 137 Gig (this will probably require starting over); or use a patched kernel with lba48 support. Again, this will probably require starting over.
