I picked up a new DSR6000 at CC.
Sadly it had dual drives.

I started looking at the unit real close and found that the DSR6000 and my T-60 are exactly the same inside.

I had a single drive T-60 image with the fixup02 script already run on it.

I stuck it in the DSR6000 AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY!

I have not and will not let it dial in. ( I am not a Total Moron )

Strange thing is the Info screen shows the Serial number from the T-60 and says it is a Sony T-60, I know in the SA units
the Serial number is not Drive dependent but the Dtivo it seems to be. I am doing further testing on this.

I have a feeling the Fixup Script has something to do with it.

Ok I was wrong about the Serial number it is the DSR6000 serial not the T60

If you put a single drive T60 image in a DSR6000 box the front panel controlls work fine but you have to use the sony remote.
The Phillips remote wont work.

But other than that it works fine.


Now that Tiger has released his MFS tools it will be easier just to do a Dual to single drive copy then add another drive.

( Thats What I wanted when I started playing with this anyway.)
